The 2010 Thousand Guineas results were a complete shock to punters, as the favourite were nowhere to be seen among the placegetters.
Finishing in first despite her disappointing season so far, Yosei ($11) stole the race on the stretch home in stunning fashion. It was a heartbreaking finish for Heartsareforlove ($126), who finished second after having preserved her lead for the majority of the race. Behind was Brazilian Pulse ($4.80) who finished in third, very impressive given her wide barrier.
The favourite at SportsBet, More Strawberries could hardly have been more disappointing with many punters now likely cursing her name after she finished sixth. It was a dismal run where she was never in a good place to vie for the lead.
Amber Waltz put in a heroic performance to take fourth place, while Sistine Angel scratched out a fourth place finish.
